VOLUNTEERS BRIGHTEN LIVES
The mission of the SMP Health – Ave Maria volunteer program is to make a positive difference in the lives of our residents. This is accomplished primarily through one-to-one relationships which develop between volunteers of all ages and the those who are in our care.
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
- Animal/pet therapy and visiting
- Games and card playing
- Assisting with outings
- Playing music and/or singing
- Telling/reading stories
- Leading or taking part in discussion groups
- Doing manicures
- Hairdressing
- Cooking/Baking groups
- Accompanying residents on appointments
- Assisting with church services and religious activities
- Leading Bible studies
- Helping with special events
- Assisting in the business office and/or with clerical tasks
- General visiting
- Being a Guardian Angel for one or more residents
- Assisting with crafts
- Helping with Bingo
BECOME AN SMP HEALTH – AVE MARIA VOLUNTEER
We are looking for committed people of all ages with integrity and compassion. Our volunteers are individuals interested in making SMP Health - Ave Maria a more comfortable and pleasant place to live and to visit. They hold fundraising activities throughout the year and assist by serving in various ways within and outside the facility.
