Family Medicine PhysicianProfessional

SMP Health – St. Andrew’s is seeking a Family Medicine Physician to join our Rural Health Clinic with admitting privileges at our health center.  The current opportunity is for a part-time position with potential for immediate growth into full-time for the right candidate.

Activity AideGeneralCasual position; assists the Activity Coordinator in executing the swingbed patients’ activity program. He/she assists with group and/or one-to-one activities as assigned.
Admissions ClerkGeneralFull-time position; to admit and discharge patients efficiently, answer the facility main switchboard and direct calls, load patient information, process charges and post payments. This position may also submit insurance claims and complete the necessary follow up with claims. This position works rotating weekends & holidays.
Assistance Director of NursingGeneralFull-time position responsible for the organization, administration and oversight of nursing services in the hospital setting. These include Acute, Swing Bed/Respite, Infection Control, Outpatient Services, including but not limited to; Observation, Treatment, Surgery, Emergency Room, Central Supply, Infection Control, Cardiac Rehab and Activities, as well as others as assigned by and under the direct supervision of the Director of Nursing. She/he is responsible for the direction and supervision of all staff in these areas in the provision of patient care.
Clinic LPN or RNGeneralCasual position; Assists with patient office medical procedures routinely performed in a clinical setting, where conditions and treatment are normally of a non-critical nature.
C.N.A./NA (Certified Nursing Assistant or Nursing Assistant)GeneralFull-Time or Part-Time positions available. Nursing Assistants perform many basic care tasks for patients, like grooming, dressing, bathing, eating and exercising. They also assist the nursing staff with medical tasks like monitoring vitals with medical equipment and reporting patient behavior and wellbeing.
CS/ER TechnicianGeneralFull-time or Part-time positions available. CS/ER Technicians perform duties in one or more functional areas of material management, supply, processing and distribution. This includes the technical functions of reprocessing, decontamination, disinfection, preparation, packaging, sterilization, and distribution. The technician is the first responder to the emergency room and assists the nurses and practitioners as directed.
Food production/cookGeneralFull Time position - Under supervision of dietary manager is responsible for food preparation of patients and employees; maintaining high standards of quality and production and portion control, using standardized recipes; preparing appropriate quantities of food to meet menu requirements.
Level II HousekeeperGeneralFull-time position responsible for the deep cleaning done throughout the Hospital, Apartment areas, and St. Andrew’s Clinic, and is responsible for the daily maintenance and cleaning of all hallways and entryways in the hospital and adjoining areas. Monday – Friday 5:30am – 2pm, no weekends or holidays.
Quality Nurse GeneralFull-time position; assists with quality monitoring and performance improvement initiatives involving the nursing departments, CS/ER, etc. This involves data abstraction, computer entry of results, report writing, report interpretation and follow through with personnel, as well as data collection and reporting for numerous State and National quality projects.
Registered NurseGeneralFull-time or Part-time positions available. Nurses plan and provide care to patients in the hospital. A caring and compassionate nature, and the ability to deal with emotionally charged and pressured situations are important traits of a nurse. Applicant must possess a Registered Nurse license in the state of North Dakota.

Employees working 60 hours or more in a 2-week pay period are eligible for health insurance. Please see your Human Resources Specialist regarding plan benefits and enrollment criteria.


The SMP Health provides a high deductible health care plan with an HSA. Please see your Human Resources Specialist regarding plan benefits and enrollment criteria.


If you do not have an HSA, you might consider a Flexible Spending Account, which provides you with the opportunity through payroll deduction to set aside a portion of what would have been taxable income and deposit the money into a Personal Reimbursement Account.


A 3% contribution is provided by the SMP Health at no cost to the employee. The 3% contribution is based on an employee’s gross earnings after one year of service by the SMP facility. To meet eligibility requirements, employees must complete 1,000 hours of service within a 12-month period, and the employee must be 21 years of age.
