Spaces That Feel Like Home:
\nResident Room Refresh Project<\/span><\/h2>\n

[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=””]At Maryhill, we believe our residents deserve more than excellent care they deserve a living space that feels like home. Our Spaces That Feel Like Home \u2013 Resident Room Refresh Project is focused on creating resident rooms that reflect warmth, comfort, and dignity, while also supporting a healthier care environment.<\/p>\n

What We\u2019ve Accomplished<\/h4>\n

With the generous support of the North Dakota Community Foundation and community donations, we have successfully completed five resident room remodels. These upgrades include:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • Fresh paint to brighten and refresh the room<\/li>\n
  • Updated lighting to improve comfort and visibility<\/li>\n
  • New window coverings to enhance privacy and create a more welcoming feel<\/li>\n
  • Supporting Infection Control and Safety: This project also supports infection control efforts \u2014 a critical priority in long-term care. As we continue the room refresh initiative, we plan to remove aging carpet and replace it with commercial-grade vinyl flooring. This type of flooring offers:\n
      \n
    • Waterproof protection<\/li>\n
    • Easier cleaning and sanitizing<\/li>\n
    • Sound reduction for a calmer environment<\/li>\n
    • Durable wear, plus UV protection<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      This upgrade will help modernize resident rooms while improving cleanliness and long-term maintenance.<\/p>\n

      Looking Ahead to 2026<\/h5>\n

      We recently completed our 2025 Tree of Lights Fundraiser, raising over $9,000. Starting in 2026, these funds will be used to continue our room remodel project and complete additional rooms at Maryhill.
      \nEach room remodel costs approximately $2,500, and our goal is to complete five more rooms in the next phase.<\/p>\n

      This project is made possible through community support \u2013 we accept donations at all times but kindly ask to please watch for more fundraising campaigns and opportunities to give in the future \u2014 every donation helps us continue creating spaces that feel like home for the people we are honored to serve.<\/p>\n
